Gustav Klimt's "Tree of Life" inspired the swirling boughs of this blossoming tree. The piece was requested as a commission, for over the client's fireplace mantle. The home was beautifully decorated in neutral shades and the client was firm that he wanted neutral tones to dominate the painting. This painting was so enjoyable to do that the artist redid it in a smaller size as "Spring Blossoms" and added the color that she so enjoys.
